Port infrastructure at Chennai and Kamarajar is estimated at ₹640 crore in total. A container terminal at VOC Port, estimated at ₹517.19 crore, is part of the package. It is one of eight projects with a combined investment of ₹753.68 crore.

The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (CPCL) Group II/III Lube Oil Base Stocks (LOBS) project. It will come up within CPCL’s existing Manali refinery in Chennai. The project is estimated at ₹1,620 crore.
