Parag Milk Foods Approves ₹105 Crore Expansion of Cheese Manufacturing Capacity by 60 MT/Day

Food Processing Aug 07,2026

Parag Milk Foods Limited's Board of Directors, at a meeting held on August 6, 2026, approved a capacity expansion for the company's cheese manufacturing operations. The expansion will add 60 metric tonnes per day of cheese production capacity at an estimated investment of ₹105 crore.

The company stated that its existing cheese manufacturing capacity is close to full utilisation, necessitating the capacity addition. Cheese remains one of Parag Milk Foods' core product categories, sold under its Go Cheese brand, in which the company holds a leading market share in India.

The expansion follows the company's earlier announced ₹400 crore investment plan over three to four years to grow its premium and value-added dairy segments, which had included a target to double cheese production capacity from 60 to 120 tonnes per day. Management has more recently indicated the expansion would proceed through capacity adjacency additions at existing sites rather than a greenfield project.
