Oriana Power commits Rs 10,000 crore RE investment in Rajasthan

Oriana Power has committed investments worth Rs 10,000 crore in Rajasthan to develop green energy projects. 

The company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government in this regard during the recently concluded Rising Rajasthan Global Summit 2024 in Jaipur.

The agreement is for investments in multiple projects encompassing solar, floating solar, green hydrogen and energy storage solutions (ESS) in the state.

Earlier, the company had said that it is planning overall one-GW capacity in EPC by 2026 and about 400-MW capacity in IPP is planned by 2026. 

Its order book of over Rs 2,500 crore is to be executed by November 2025 , and some of the recent orders are for setting up solar capacities in Karnataka and Rajasthan, solar photovoltaic power plant in Dhanbad, Jharkhand and in renewable energy service company (RESCO) segment, through its subsidiaries. 

The company at present has a pipeline of 900 MW which it plans to close in the next three to four months, and a pipeline for the next three years in the solar segment.
