Oriana Power has secured a new contract from a cement manufacturing company for a 40 MWp solar power plant under the captive segment.
To be located in Rajasthan, the company will supply power to the cement manufacturer. The project will be executed by a separate entity formed directly by Oriana Power or through its subsidiaries.
The company’s scope of work under the project includes engineering, procurement and construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance of the solar power plant.
The project is estimated to cost Rs 1.55 billion. The project is scheduled to commence operations in 9 months, with an operations and maintenance period of 25 years starting from the beginning of commercial operations.
