NBCC Signs MoU With NHPC for Pan-India Execution of Infrastructure Projects
NBCC (India) Limited and NHPC Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the pan-India execution of NHPC's infrastructure projects. The agreement was formalised on August 28, 2026, at NHPC's corporate office in Faridabad.
Under the MoU, NBCC will provide Project Management Consultancy services and undertake specific NHPC infrastructure projects on a deposit work basis. The collaboration will primarily cover projects involving buildings, structures and allied works across the country.
NBCC's scope of engagement includes design, engineering, project management, procurement, construction, quality control, installation, commissioning and statutory compliances, followed by handover of completed projects. The projects covered under the arrangement may include residential and commercial infrastructure and office complexes. NBCC will earn a PMC fee of 5.5% under the arrangement, its usual commission rate for such consultancy work.
NBCC and NHPC are both Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprises, with NHPC bringing experience in the hydropower and clean-energy sectors and NBCC bringing expertise in planning, management and execution of large infrastructure projects. The companies have not yet disclosed the financial value of the projects to be executed under the MoU; that assessment is expected to be established at a later stage.
The arrangement gives NHPC an integrated project execution framework for its infrastructure requirements across different locations in India, drawing on NBCC's construction and consultancy capabilities.
