Navsari to get a PM Mitra Park at 1141 acres, to create around 3 lakh jobs

Automotive Industries  -  Jul 13,2023  -

In terms of both production capacity and the availability of raw materials, the Indian textile industry is among the largest in the world.

By constructing top-notch infrastructure, lowering production and logistics costs, and modernising technology and skills, the central government seeks to make the textile industry globally competitive.

The "P.M. Mitra (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel-PM MITRA) Park" has been envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a megaproject to accomplish this objective.

The construction of this park in seven states across the country is aimed at establishing a large-scale textile industry, positioning India in the global textile market, creating a competitive environment for quality, and developing world-class integrated industrial facilities.

The Prime Minister has given permission to construct textile parks in seven states, including the Navsari district of Gujarat.

On the 13th of July, in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and virtually with the Prime Minister, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the park construction in Gujarat will be signed by the state and central governments.
