Mother Dairy Commissions First 550-Tonne Butter Chiplet Manufacturing Line at Junagadh Dairy, Gujarat
Mother Dairy has commissioned its first dedicated butter chiplet manufacturing line at its existing milk processing facility in Junagadh, Gujarat. The line has an annual production capacity of 550 tonnes. The source does not state an investment size.
The line is at Junagadh Dairy in the Gandhigram area of Junagadh district. The facility operates under Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
A company official said this is the company's first butter chiplet unit in the country and that supply across India will be made from it. Butter chiplets are individual, portion-sized units of butter. They are used in foodservice, hospitality and retail. Trade reports say the line will make 10-gram single-serve portions.
The line adds a value-added product capability to Mother Dairy's existing dairy processing operations in Gujarat.
