Meghmani Crop Nutrition (MCNL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meghmani Organics, has inaugurated its nano urea plant at Sanand, Ahmedabad.
The commencement of commercial production for nano urea (liquid) fertilizer will be announced in due course.
Nano urea enhancing the nutritional quality and the productivity of crops, and is environmentally safe as well.
Additionally, it will help to reduce government’s subsidy burden on conventional urea.
MCNL had earlier announced to incur a capex of Rs 150 crore for setting up the plant in Gujarat, with annual capacity pegged at five crore bottles (500 ml) per year.
Its foray into liquid fertilizers will help to augment the growth strategy of the company, and the agrochemical division.
