Mallcom India Commissions ₹100 Crore PPE Manufacturing Facility at Sanand, Gujarat
Mallcom India Limited has commissioned a personal protective equipment manufacturing plant at Sanand, Gujarat, with a total investment exceeding ₹100 crore. The facility is the company's 17th manufacturing unit and expands its production footprint beyond its established bases in West Bengal and Uttarakhand.
The Sanand plant houses multiple production lines including NBR and PU gloves dipping lines, injection moulding machines, glove printing lines, and manufacturing capacity for safety helmets and bump caps. A new NBR dipping line equipped with online printing and stripping technology has also been commissioned at the facility.
The plant has also established what the company describes as India's first Domestic Tariff Area unit for Protech PU gloves, replacing products previously sourced through imports. The facility is positioned to serve the industrial safety market domestically while reducing dependence on PU glove imports, a category historically supplied from China and other Asian markets.
The facility currently employs over 200 workers across direct and indirect roles, with the company targeting a workforce of over 300 within the next year. The project was developed pursuant to an MOU signed between Mallcom and the Government of Gujarat.
