Lux Cozi Group, a vertical of Lux Industries Limited, has laid the foundation stone for a new manufacturing facility at its existing Dankuni campus in West Bengal's Hooghly district. The project, with a planned investment of approximately ₹600 crore, is intended to establish one of Asia's largest garment manufacturing hubs.

The expansion will add 12 lakh sq. ft. to the existing 8 lakh sq. ft. Dankuni facility, creating a 20 lakh sq. ft. integrated manufacturing campus. This will add annual production capacity of 20 crore pieces to the facility's existing 12 crore pieces, taking Lux Cozi Group's total nationwide capacity from around 20 crore to approximately 36 crore pieces annually, an increase of roughly 80%.

The facility, described as one of Asia's premier automated hosiery plants, will consolidate manufacturing operations, reduce regional processing bottlenecks and cut wastage through advanced machinery. The company said the investment will be funded through a mix of internal accruals and external borrowings, with an expected payback period of approximately five years.

The project is expected to generate approximately 3,000 direct and 6,000 indirect employment opportunities. West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari attended the foundation-laying event. Lux Industries markets brands including Lux Cozi, ONN, Pynk and Lux Parker across hosiery, innerwear, casualwear and apparel categories.
