Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on August 13, 2026, that it has secured a mega order valued between ₹10,000 crore and ₹15,000 crore to build what the company describes as India's largest single-cluster artificial intelligence infrastructure facility. The order marks L&T's entry into the AI Factory business.

The project will be executed through L&T's AI infrastructure arm, LTN Compute, and its AI and data centre business, Vyoma.AI. The company will install an NVIDIA B300-based AI Factory at Vyoma's data centre campus in Chennai, comprising 10,000 NVIDIA B300 GPUs, to power the AI-native cloud platform of US-based Together AI.

Vyoma's Chennai campus has been conceived as a gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure site. Phase 1 capacity is designed at 250 MW, with power infrastructure readiness of 150 MVA, providing a base for future expansion of AI Factory capacity at the site.

The facility will support large-scale inference, fine-tuning and training workloads, combining hyperscale data centre infrastructure, accelerated computing, high-performance networking, ultra-low-latency interconnects and high-throughput parallel storage into a unified AI infrastructure platform for customers.

L&T has not disclosed the exact order value; under its internal classification, orders in the ₹10,000–15,000 crore range are categorised as "mega orders." The project builds on L&T's broader Gigawatt AI Infrastructure Mission and an earlier-announced partnership with NVIDIA to develop gigawatt-scale AI data centre capacity in India
