The Karnataka government has secured fresh investment commitments worth ₹300 crore from Cipla and Rocket India during its two-day investment roadshow in Mumbai, led by Minister for Large and Medium Industries M.B. Patil.

Pharmaceutical major Cipla will invest ₹200 crore to expand production capacity at its manufacturing facility in Bommasandra, Bengaluru. The company has already commenced the expansion, with production from the upgraded unit expected to begin by December 2026.

Plant-based protein manufacturer Rocket India will invest ₹100 crore to expand its manufacturing unit in Gokak, Belagavi district, significantly increasing the company's food processing capacity. Rocket India has also been assured a reliable supply of maize, its primary raw material, as Karnataka is among India's leading maize-producing states, an arrangement expected to benefit both the company and local farmers through stable demand for agricultural produce. The company has separately expressed interest in establishing a Global Capability Centre in Bengaluru.

Alongside the confirmed investments, the state delegation held discussions with representatives from Blackstone, Saint-Gobain, Horizon, Henkel, KEC International, and ideaForge Technology to explore future investment opportunities. Blackstone is reportedly exploring projects related to data centres, renewable energy, and fibre-optic infrastructure, while Saint-Gobain is considering expanding its manufacturing footprint in the state. The roadshow forms part of Karnataka's broader effort to attract fresh industrial investment across multiple high-growth sectors.
