Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has announced the signing of a new hotel, Lemon Tree Hotel, Jorhat, in Assam. The property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels, marking the brand's entry into the city and expanding its presence in the state to seven properties, comprising one operational hotel and six under development.

The upcoming full-service hotel will feature 70 well-appointed rooms, along with a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting room, swimming pool, spa and fitness centre. The property is designed to cater to business travellers, tea industry professionals, leisure guests and visitors exploring the region's cultural and natural attractions.

Jorhat, widely recognised as the "Tea Capital of the World," is home to over 135 tea gardens, including estates such as Cinnamora and Gatoonga, as well as the Tocklai Tea Research Institute. The city also serves as the primary gateway to Majuli, the world's largest river island. The hotel benefits from convenient connectivity, located approximately 2.5 km from Jorhat Railway Station and around 3 km from Jorhat Airport.

Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President of Lemon Tree Hotels, said the signing reflects the company's expansion strategy of strengthening its presence across high-growth regional markets where demand for quality branded hospitality is increasing, reinforcing its commitment to Northeast India. The move adds to Lemon Tree's broader push into the region, following recent signings in other Northeastern markets including Dibrugarh.
