Land acquisition process for Ballari jeans textile park completed
Automotive Industries - Jan 10,2025 -The Karnataka government has announced plans to develop a Jeans Park at Sajanjeerayanakote near Ballari.
Large and Medium Industries Minister MB Patil highlighted Ballari as a favourable destination for global investors seeking alternatives to Bangladesh, a major exporter for brands like Zara and H&M.
Indian textile firms like Gokaldas Exports will also leverage this shift, expanding operations across South India and Bhopal while exploring additional capacity in Ranchi.
Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh emphasised government initiatives to support the sector, targeting USD 300 billion in textile exports by 2030 and generating employment for six crore people.
The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) will oversee the 154-acre project, with land acquisition already completed.
