Kshema Power Wins EPC Order for Transmission Infrastructure Supporting 315 MW Wind Project in Karnataka
Kshema Power has secured an order from a leading independent power producer for the development of critical transmission infrastructure supporting a 315 MW wind power project in Karnataka. The name of the IPP that awarded the contract was not disclosed.
The project covers the supply, civil works and commissioning of approximately 33 km of 220 kV single-circuit transmission line, built on double-circuit and multi-circuit tower configurations, along with associated unit substations and 33 kV transmission line infrastructure. The integrated scope also includes procurement of required approvals for high-voltage transmission, substation infrastructure, electrical balance of plant, civil works, and erection and commissioning.
Sateesh Basant, Managing Director of Kshema Power, said the project reflects the company's commitment to building the infrastructure that enables renewable energy to move from generation to consumption efficiently and reliably. The company said the order further strengthens its capabilities as an end-to-end EPC partner for large-scale renewable energy projects.
Kshema Power has executed over 5.2 GW of renewable energy infrastructure globally to date, including more than 4,500 MW of wind EPC work, over 2,000 km of power transmission lines, and more than 2,400 MVA of substation capacity.
