DN Solutions Inaugurates ₹600 Crore Manufacturing and R&D Plant in Bengaluru
DN Solutions has opened its first manufacturing facility in India, a ₹600 crore investment located in Bengaluru's ITIR Industrial Area, in Devanahalli taluk. The 25-acre site was developed in collaboration with the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) and combines manufacturing, R&D, a technical centre and after-sales service under one roof. The facility was inaugurated by Karnataka's Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil, with the investment agreement having been signed roughly two years earlier during the minister's visit to Korea.
The company has fully deployed its Phase 1 investment and is evaluating further investment of a similar scale, depending on market demand and business growth in India. The Bengaluru plant marks DN Solutions' first overseas manufacturing investment since its Yantai facility in China, established in 2003. The company has stated the Indian unit is a new production investment rather than a relocation of manufacturing from Korea or China.
Initial production at the plant will cover SVM vertical machining centres and LYNX and LEO horizontal turning centres, with five-axis machine production planned for later phases. An on-site R&D centre will work alongside DN Solutions' research institutes in Korea, Germany and China, and its technical centres across Asia, Europe and the Americas, focusing on machining solutions tailored to Indian manufacturers. The site also includes a technical centre for customer test cuts, along with a service office, repair shop, parts warehouse and the DN Academy for technical training.
