KPR Mill Approves ₹1,225 Crore Expansion Across Seven Textile Projects In Odisha, Tamil Nadu
KPR Mill Limited, India's largest vertically integrated apparel manufacturer, has approved a ₹1,225 crore expansion and modernisation programme covering seven projects across its textile value chain. The Board of Directors sanctioned the plan at its meeting held on August 10, 2026.
The programme comprises three greenfield facilities and four modernisation-cum-expansion initiatives spread across Odisha and Tamil Nadu. The entire capital expenditure will be funded through internal accruals.
The largest component is a ₹450 crore greenfield ready-made garment manufacturing facility in Odisha, with an annual capacity of 45 million garments, scheduled for completion in the first quarter of FY2027-28. The Odisha investment extends KPR's garment manufacturing footprint beyond Tamil Nadu.
Other greenfield projects include a ₹250 crore textile processing factory at Perundurai, Coimbatore, with an annual processing capacity of 10,000 MT, and a ₹75 crore sweater manufacturing facility at Karumathampatti, Coimbatore, with capacity for 2.5 million garments annually.
The remaining ₹450 crore will fund modernisation and expansion of existing facilities, including ₹90 crore for the knitted-fabric facility at Arasur, ₹100 crore for the Neelambur facility, ₹85 crore for Spinning Mill Unit 3, and ₹175 crore for Spinning Mill Unit 1, all located in and around Coimbatore.
The projects are expected to generate approximately ₹2,000 crore in additional annual turnover once fully operational. KPR Mill reported a turnover of ₹6,785 crore in FY26, and the latest investment programme is aimed at strengthening the company's integrated garmenting, processing, knitting and spinning operations.
