Kizlak Stark Agro Private Limited, a Haryana-based company, is setting up a greenfield ethanol plant at Ruaam village in the Musabani block of East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand. The project involves a total investment of approximately ₹156 crore and is expected to generate around 200 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The Jharkhand government has allotted 25 acres of land to the company for the facility. The plant is designed with a production capacity of 100 kilolitres of ethanol per day. A co-generation unit will also be installed on-site, capable of generating 2.8 megawatts of electricity.

Commercial production is targeted to commence during the FY 2026-27. The facility will become the second ethanol plant in East Singhbhum district. The first plant, operated by Global Spirits Limited at Olda village in Bahragora block, has been operational since March 2023 and currently produces 220 kilolitres per day after an expansion from its original capacity of 140 kilolitres per day.

The new plant is expected to contribute to the Government of India's Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) Programme, which targets 20 percent ethanol blending in petrol under the E-20 initiative. In addition to fuel blending, ethanol produced at the facility can serve as a feedstock for the pharmaceuticals, paints, adhesives, and cosmetics industries
