Kirby India (Alghanim Industries) Breaks Ground on Fourth PEB Manufacturing Facility in Manapparai, Trichy
Kirby Building Systems & Structures India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Kuwait-based Alghanim Industries, has broken ground on its fourth manufacturing facility in India at Manapparai, near Trichy, Tamil Nadu. The plant will come up on approximately 33.2 acres and is designed for an annual manufacturing capacity of 100,000 metric tonnes.
Commercial operations at the new unit are expected to begin by mid-2027. Once operational, the facility will lift Kirby India's total annual manufacturing capacity from 300,000 metric tonnes to 400,000 metric tonnes across its India operations.
The company said the expansion is intended to strengthen its footprint in southern India and support faster, more flexible deliveries to customers in the region's industrial markets. The new unit will operate alongside Kirby India's existing plants in Hyderabad, Haridwar, and Halol, Gujarat.
Kirby specialises in pre-engineered steel building systems and structural steel solutions, and has operated in India for more than 26 years, supported by over 25 sales offices and more than 150 certified builders. The company said it continues to invest in engineering, automation, and digital manufacturing capabilities to meet demand from India's industrial and infrastructure sectors, as it expands from a PEB manufacturer toward a broader structural steel solutions provider.
