Karnataka's SLSWCC Approves 83 Industrial Projects Worth ₹6,253 Crore, Includes ₹453 Crore Ethanol Plant in Vijayapura
Karnataka has approved 83 industrial projects involving a combined investment of about ₹6,253 crore. The approvals were cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC), chaired by Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil.
Among the approved projects, Shrishail Mallikarjun Distillery will set up a sugar plant and ethanol production facility worth ₹453 crore in Devarahipparagi taluk of Vijayapura district. Of the 83 projects cleared, 69 will be established outside Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts, in line with the state government's "Beyond Bengaluru" initiative to promote industrial development across the state.
Projects with investments of more than ₹50 crore account for nearly ₹4,703 crore of the total, while 57 projects with investments between ₹15 crore and ₹50 crore account for about ₹1,292 crore. The approved projects span sectors including aerospace and defence, food processing, IT services, integrated industrial parks, sugar and ethanol, and renewable energy.
Among the other major projects, Hyderabad-based Jaswin Ventures will invest ₹475 crore to develop an integrated industrial park and mixed-use township in Doddaballapura taluk of Bengaluru Rural district. Jampana Construction will invest ₹465 crore to develop a separate integrated industrial park in Doddaballapura, comprising warehousing, logistics, residential and commercial facilities.
The state government said the approvals are expected to boost investment and employment while supporting efforts to promote industrial growth beyond Bengaluru.
