JK Lakshmi Cement has approved an investment in solar power company STLC RE 1 Limited, committing up to ₹20.5 crore through cash consideration in the special purpose vehicle. The company will acquire and maintain a minimum 26% equity stake under the applicable group captive power route.

The investment supports a proposed 29 MW AC / 42 MW DC solar power plant to be developed at Sirohi in Rajasthan. The facility will include a 28 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to support power supply for JK Lakshmi Cement's integrated cement plant in the region.

The arrangement is intended to increase renewable power sourcing and reduce electricity costs across JK Lakshmi Cement's plant locations. The acquisition is expected to be completed by December 31, 2026, and does not require any governmental or regulatory approvals.
