Jakson declared L1-bidder for works of Chennai Metro Rail Project

Jakson has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for electrical & mechanical (E&M) and various works for Corridor-V of Chennai Metro Rail Project, Phase-II.

The system works will be carried out including supply, installation, testing, commissioning and training of electrical, plumbing, fire protection, VAC works, and BMS from Madhavaram Milk Colony Station (excluding) ch 76.000 to Grain Market Station (excluding) ch 16399.716 for this corridor.
 
Jakson emerged as the L1 by Chennai Metro Rail with a bid value quoted at Rs 201.50 crore.

In August 2023, Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. (CMRL) initiated the bidding process for the electrical and mechanical (E&M) work for Line 5. The contract has a 1910-day (5.2-year) deadline. Subsequently, in February 2024, CMRL opened the technical bids, revealing five bidders.
