Intel teams up with eight companies for 'Make in India' laptops

Infrastructure  -  Nov 06,2023  -

Chip manufacturer Intel has announced that it has reached an agreement with eight local Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) companies to accelerate the manufacturing of "Make-in-India" laptops in the nation.

Intel's collaboration involves Bhagwati Products Ltd, Dixon Technologies India Ltd, Kaynes Technology India Ltd, Optiemus Electronics Ltd, Panache Digilife Ltd, Smile Electronics Ltd, Syrma SGS Technology Ltd, and VVDN Technologies Private Ltd.

This collaboration is in line with Intel's commitment to driving technology-driven progress in support of the Make in India campaign.

Following the successful artificial summit (AI) Safety Summit in the UK, Minister of State (MoS) for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, has announced that the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) will convene in New Delhi in December, the media has reported. This comes amid growing concerns over AI-related risks.
