IHG Hotels & Resorts Signs Agreement to Develop 115-Key Holiday Inn Hotel in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Embrassio Hotels & Resorts Private Ltd, the hospitality arm of Vrindara Group, to develop a Holiday Inn property in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
The hotel will offer 115 rooms and suites and is scheduled to open in early 2030. IHG Hotels & Resorts Managing Director, South West Asia, Sudeep Jain said the signing aligns with the company's strategy of expanding into high-potential destinations and bringing globally recognised brands to locations where travellers seek trusted hospitality experiences.
Mathura, a religious tourism hub in Uttar Pradesh, adds to IHG's growing footprint in destinations linked to pilgrimage and cultural tourism. No investment figure for the project has been disclosed.
IHG currently operates 52 hotels across six brands in India and has a pipeline of 98 hotels slated to open over the next three to five years, reflecting continued expansion activity by the group across the country's hospitality sector.
