Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has inked an MoU to debut in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, with the introduction of a Vivanta hotel.

The Greenfield hotel, IHCL's first in Itanagar, will be the company's second in Arunachal Pradesh.

IHCL Managing director and Chief Executive Officer Puneet Chhatwal said,"This move is in line with the company's strategy to establish a presence in all state capitals. The 150-key hotel, strategically located near Donyi Polo Airport, will feature a multi-cuisine restaurant, bar, swimming pool, health club, fitness centre, and over 6500 sq. ft. of banqueting space, including meeting rooms."

IHCL has partnered with Taling Eichir Infra LLP for this project.

IHCL's expansion into Itanagar contributes to its portfolio, which will comprise nine hotels in Northeast India, including five under development.
