HTL, a Singapore-based sofa maker, plans to invest USD 80 million over the next five years to boost its India manufacturing capacity to service both the domestic and international markets, according to a top business executive.

Until now, the company has spent USD 12 million to establish manufacturing in the country.

In India, HTL is expanding its manufacturing capacity in cities including Pune and Chennai.

The Pune unit will majorly cater to the domestic demand and the Chennai unit will cater to both domestic and international demand, according to the company.
