HRV Pharma to Invest ₹150 Crore in Peptide Manufacturing and High-Potency Oncology API Capacity

Chemicals Sep 08,2026

HRV Pharma, an asset-light pharmaceutical platform, has announced strategic investments totalling approximately ₹150 crore to expand capabilities in two supply-constrained segments: synthetic peptides and high-potency oncology APIs.

Under a dedicated Custom Peptide Capacity programme, the company is investing around ₹40-50 crore to set up cGMP peptide manufacturing capacity through a strategic capacity-underwriting arrangement with a manufacturing partner. The initiative will focus on commercial-stage and new-to-generic synthetic peptides across multiple therapeutic areas, with HRV retaining ownership of regulatory assets, product IP and global commercialisation rights. The capacity is expected to be ready within 6-8 months.

Separately, HRV Pharma is establishing a strategic joint venture focused on high-potency oncology APIs and specialised molecules, with an investment commitment of approximately ₹100 crore. The platform will build capabilities for developing and commercialising high-potent APIs, beginning with oncology and other niche therapeutic segments, and is expected to develop 20-30 such APIs in phases, starting with R&D and regulatory filings before moving to dedicated commercial-scale capacity.

The investments extend HRV Pharma's asset-light model, under which the company controls product selection, regulatory filings, intellectual property and global commercialisation while partnering with certified cGMP manufacturing operators for production. No specific manufacturing site location was disclosed in the source.
