Haryana government has approved a budget of Rs 616.1 crore to upgrade the Hodal-Nuh-Pataudi Road into a four-lane highway. It is expected to boost regional connectivity and bring with it economic benefits for bridging the urban-rural gap.
This 71-km corridor will also interlink national highways, including NH-248A (Gurgaon-Nuh-Rajasthan), which is part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, and NH-8 (Delhi-Jaipur).
The decision to sanction the project's budget was taken at a meeting of the standing finance committee chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Chandigarh on 05 December, 2024.
Public Works Department Minister Ranbir Gangwa said the project, once completed, will become the backbone of regional connectivity in Haryana, and it will integrate the state's highway with national highways.
"The upgraded road will also support trade and transportation efficiency, connecting rural areas to urban centers and providing easier access to markets, schools and healthcare facilities," the Minister said.
As the stretch crosses Palwal, Nuh and Gurgaon, access to villages such as Bilaspur, Pathreri, Bawla, Nuh, Ujina and Hodal is likely to improve.
