HNGIL to Invest ₹280 Crore to Double Bahadurgarh Glass Plant Capacity, Haryana
Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Ltd (HNGIL) will invest ₹280 crore to expand its Bahadurgarh manufacturing facility in Haryana. The company plans to double the plant's production capacity from 300 tonnes per day to 600 tonnes per day within the next 60 to 90 days.
The investment is split into two components: ₹180 crore allocated for capital spending on plant infrastructure and equipment, and ₹100 crore designated for operating expenses over the next three years.
Spread across approximately 50 acres, the Bahadurgarh plant is one of HNGIL's key manufacturing sites in North India. The expansion is expected to significantly raise the plant's contribution to the company's future revenues and establish it as a key manufacturing hub in the region. HNGIL operates seven manufacturing plants across India, with facilities also located in Rishra near Kolkata, Rishikesh, Neemrana, Naidupeta, Nashik and Puducherry.
Shrai Madhvani, Chairman of HNGIL, said the investment reflects the company's confidence in Haryana as a manufacturing destination and its commitment to job creation and the state's economic growth.
The Bahadurgarh investment is part of HNGIL's wider revival and expansion programme following its acquisition by Independent Sugar Corporation Limited (INSCO), backed by the Madhvani-Turner Group, through the insolvency resolution process.
