Haleon Plc, the global consumer healthcare company, has announced plans to invest an estimated ₹2,000 crore to set up its first wholly owned manufacturing facility in India. The greenfield plant will be located at Vijayarampuram village in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, an established industrial zone in the Indore region.

The facility will be dedicated to manufacturing products from Haleon's oral health portfolio, with Sensodyne — one of the company's flagship brands — being among the primary products to be produced at the site. The plant is intended to support Haleon's growing sales volumes in India and reduce its current dependence on third-party contract manufacturers operating in the country.

Haleon has indicated a commissioning timeline of 2029–30 for the facility. Once operational, the plant will serve both the domestic market and potential export requirements, adding to India's consumer healthcare manufacturing base.

India is among Haleon's fastest-growing markets globally. The investment reflects the company's stated strategy of deepening its local manufacturing presence in high-growth markets. Pithampur's proximity to Indore and its well-developed industrial infrastructure makes it a common location of choice for large-scale pharmaceutical and consumer goods manufacturing investments in central India.
