The Government of Gujarat’s Road and Building department has approved Rs 111.75 crore for construction of Anjar highway bypass.
Sharing this information, MLA Trikambhai Chhanga and former minister Vasanbhai Ahir said the issue of Anjar bypass was pending since 2001.
Earlier administrative approval of Rs. 45.38 crore allocation was given for Anjar bypass but due to revised SOR of land acquisition, the estimated expenditure went up to Rs. 111 crore.
Repeated requests were made before the State government for approval of Rs. 111 crore. Finally the proposal for Rs. 111.75 crore approval for Anjar bypass is cleared.
Chhanga and Ahir have conveyed thanks to the State government for this approval. The proposed bypass will be 5.50 km long.
