GMDA Floats ₹776 Crore EPC Tender for 4.23 km Phase I SPR Elevated Corridor from Vatika Chowk to Dwarka Expressway, Gurugram
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has floated a tender for the first phase of the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) elevated corridor. The 4.23 km elevated road runs from Vatika Chowk to the Dwarka Expressway cloverleaf on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. It will be developed under the EPC mode at an estimated cost of ₹776 crore.
The project is expected to be completed within 30 months of the award of work. The last date for bid submission is 18 November. The plan includes a 4-lane elevated carriageway in each direction between Vatika Chowk and NH-48.
The design includes 3+3-lane primary service roads and 2+2-lane secondary service roads. It also includes second-level access roads towards Sectors 75 and 75A, and an access route towards Tulip Chowk. Multiple ramps, loops and surface-level U-turns are planned for signal-free movement. GMDA aims to improve traffic flow and reduce bottlenecks at key intersections.
GMDA is preparing further phases. Phase II will feature a grade-separated dynamic interchange at Vatika Chowk. Phase III proposes an 8.5 km elevated stretch between Vatika Chowk and Ghata. Detailed project reports for both phases are under preparation.
