Gabriel India to Invest ₹180 Crore in New Hosur Plant and Capacity Expansion in FY27
Gabriel India, part of the ANAND Group, plans to invest approximately ₹180 crore in its standalone business during FY27, covering the development of a new plant at Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and capacity expansion across some of its existing facilities. Group President Atul Jaggi, who also serves as Managing Director of Gabriel India, said the amount has been allocated specifically for growth this year.
The company expects a significant part of its future two-wheeler business growth to come from the new Hosur facility. Gabriel has acquired 17 acres of land near its existing Hosur unit for the second plant, and the bhoomi pujan for the facility has already been performed.
The FY27 investment will also fund automated and robotic production lines at the company's Khandsa facility and additional gas-damper manufacturing capacity at its Pune plant. Gabriel currently operates a manufacturing network spanning nine plants and three satellite facilities across India.
The proposed FY27 capex follows standalone capital expenditure of ₹189.3 crore in FY26, which included spending on the Chakan-2 plant and land acquisition for the Hosur-2 expansion. Gabriel's standalone revenue rose 16.2% to ₹4,233 crore in FY26 from ₹3,643.3 crore in FY25, while EBITDA increased 18% to ₹382.7 crore. The company ended FY26 with net cash of ₹297.4 crore, giving it headroom to fund the expansion through internal resources.
