G R Infraprojects Gets Appointed Date for ₹4,263 Crore Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Highway Project
G R Infraprojects Limited has received formal confirmation from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) declaring September 7, 2026, as the appointed date for its Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Road project. The appointed date marks the point from which the contractual project period and construction obligations formally begin.
The project carries an NHAI-estimated cost of ₹4,262.78 crore and will be executed under the DBFOT (Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer) pattern in BOT (Toll) mode, under the National Highways (Original) scheme. The stipulated completion period is 910 days from the appointed date.
The project has two components. The first involves construction of a new access-controlled, six-lane greenfield highway connecting Agra and Gwalior, starting near Deori village in Agra district and extending approximately 88.4 km to Susera village in Gwalior district, passing through Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The second component covers overlaying and strengthening of the existing NH-44 between km 1058.00 and km 1148.00, along with associated road-safety works.
The assignment adds to G R Infraprojects' road and highway portfolio, which spans EPC, BOT and HAM models across roads, bridges, railways, metro and tunnelling projects. With the appointed date now set, execution activity across the greenfield corridor and the NH-44 strengthening stretch is expected to begin, involving coordination across the three states covered by the project.
