Filatex India's Board approves Rs 155 crore expansion, power project investment in Gujarat
Textiles - Jan 30,2025 -Filatex India’s Board of Directors, during a meeting has approved a significant expansion project at their unit in Dahej, Gujarat.
This expansion will include the addition of 19,800 MTPA of partially Oriented Yarn (POY), 14,400 MTPA of Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY), and 14,400 MTPA of Draw Textured Yarn (DTY). The total estimated cost for this expansion is around Rs 155 crore, with the commissioning of the new facilities expected by June 2026.
Additionally, the Board also approved an investment of Rs 24 crore in a new hybrid power project. This power project will be located in Gujarat and will be set up, owned, and operated by Torrent Power, or its wholly owned subsidiary, with the project expected to be commissioned by September 2025.
