Emmvee Photovoltaic Power Plans ₹5,500 Crore Solar Giga Factory for Cell and Module Manufacturing
Emmvee Photovoltaic Power Ltd is developing a ₹5,500 crore integrated solar manufacturing giga factory aimed at strengthening full-scale domestic solar production.
The facility will integrate ingots, wafers, solar cells, and modules, with a core 6 GW cell and module line. Module production is expected by end-2026, followed by cells by FY27. Once complete, total capacity will reach 16.3 GW for modules and 8.9 GW for cells.
The company also plans 9 GW of ingot-wafer capacity in phases, with initial commissioning targeted for FY29. This supports India’s ALMM-driven localisation push and increasing domestic content requirements.
With an order book of 9.4 GW in FY26, nearly double FY25 levels, Emmvee is positioning the project as a key step toward deeper vertical integration and stronger supply-chain resilience in India’s expanding solar manufacturing sector.
