Eden Realty to Invest ₹300 Crore in Five-Star Hotel and Villa Resort Project in Howrah, West Bengal

Hospitality and Healthcare Aug 17,2026

Kolkata-based developer Eden Realty has announced plans to invest ₹300 crore in a new hospitality project along the banks of the Hooghly River in Howrah. The project includes a 100-key hotel and approximately 60 to 70 villa-style resorts, and is currently in the planning stage, with proposals submitted to the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port authorities for land parcels to be leased from the port.

The project is located near the AJC Bose Indian Botanic Garden and marks the company's first entry into the hospitality sector. It forms part of Eden Realty's broader strategy to diversify into hospitality and commercial assets, building on its existing residential presence in the Howrah region, including its earlier Solaris Shalimar project.

The hospitality venture is one component of a larger investment plan under which Eden Realty intends to deploy ₹5,000 crore across residential, commercial and hospitality segments by 2030. The company is currently in discussions with international hotel brands for management contracts, with an agreement expected to be finalised in the coming months.

The project is awaiting environmental clearances, and its execution is linked to long-term lease arrangements with the port authority, offering potential opportunities for hospitality EPC contractors and hotel-fit-out suppliers once clearances are secured.
