Dixon Technologies and Nokia partner to manufacture fixed broadband devices in India

Manufacturing  -  Nov 12,2024  -

Dixon Technologies, an Indian electronics manufacturer, has entered into a strategic partnership with Nokia to locally produce fixed broadband devices. This collaboration is part of an effort to support the Indian government's "Make in India" initiative, promoting domestic manufacturing and reducing reliance on imports.

Under the agreement, Dixon Technologies will manufacture a range of broadband devices, including routers and gateways, at its facilities in India. The partnership aims to cater to the growing demand for high-speed internet connectivity in India, especially in rural and underserved areas, where broadband infrastructure is rapidly expanding.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen India's position as a key hub for the production of telecommunications equipment. By manufacturing locally, the companies plan to enhance the availability of advanced broadband devices and reduce lead times, ultimately benefiting both consumers and businesses across the country.

This initiative also aligns with Nokia's strategy to expand its presence in the Indian market while supporting the government's digital transformation goals. The manufacturing facility will leverage the latest technologies and adhere to high-quality standards to ensure the devices meet the needs of Indian consumers.
