Daikin Air-conditioning India has formally opened its new greenfield facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
The expansive 75.5-acre complex is devoted to the creation of climate-friendly air conditioning systems for the Middle East, South America, Bangladesh, Bhutan, West Africa, and Sri Lanka, among other areas. It is anticipated that the plant will employ 3,000 workers.
Kanwaljeet Jawa, Chairman & Managing Director of Daikin India, expressed that the new manufacturing plant in Sri City enhances their production capabilities and strengthens their position as a leading provider of energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC solutions in the region.
Masanori Togawa, President & CEO of Daikin Industries, highlighted that Daikin, with 100 production units globally and a customer base in 170 countries, is expanding its manufacturing presence in India.
This facility is part of Daikin’s substantial investments in India, totaling Rs 2,800 crore. It aims to address the growing demand for air conditioning products in both the Indian and international markets, focusing on environmentally friendly solutions.
