Infrastructure  -  Nov 24,2023  -

Chalet Hotels has revealed plans to build a 300 INR-Crore luxury hotel in Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi. Chalet Hotels and Delhi International Airport have a warm shell lease agreement that will be used to build the hotel.

The planned hotel will have 390 keys and be built over an area of about 3,000,000 square feet. It is expected to open at the end of fiscal year 26.

Chalet Hotels has signed a franchise agreement with IHCL (Indian Hotels Company Ltd) under which IHCL will provide their Taj brand to the hotel along with their loyalty program, access to the sales network, and distribution support.

Meanwhile, Chalet will handle the day-to-day operations of the hotel.

Currently, Chalet is developing about 900 rooms and revamping The Dukes Retreat in Khandala with an estimated investment of about 100 Rs-Crore. Earlier this year, the firm purchased the 7.5-acre resort with 80 rooms for Rs 133 Crore.
