Cygnett Hotels Signs 50-Key Cozzet VICASA Brownfield Hotel Near Gopalpur Beach, Odisha
Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has signed Cozzet VICASA Gopalpur, a 50-key brownfield hotel located approximately 800 metres from Gopalpur Sea Beach in Odisha. The property is scheduled to open in March 2027.
Several rooms at the hotel will offer sea views, positioning the property for leisure travellers, families, weekend visitors, weddings and small corporate groups. The hotel will include approximately 2,500 sq. ft. of banquet and event space.
The signing is part of Cygnett's strategy of expanding through brownfield conversions and asset-light management arrangements across Tier II, Tier III and emerging micro-markets in India. Founder and Managing Director Sarbendra Sarkar said Gopalpur fits the company's approach of bringing existing hospitality assets into a branded, professionally managed ecosystem while creating value for hotel owners.
Cozzet is Cygnett's value-driven hospitality brand, positioned around accessible pricing with clean, comfortable rooms and dependable service. The Gopalpur signing follows a similar recent brownfield signing by the company in Ringas, Rajasthan, as part of a broader push into coastal leisure markets, pilgrimage destinations and regional business centres.
