CNH Industrial to Invest ₹2,000 Crore in New Tractor Plant and R&D Near Greater Noida by 2030
CNH Industrial has announced plans to invest around ₹2,000 crore in India by 2030. Of this, ₹1,000 crore will fund a new tractor manufacturing plant near Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, while the remaining ₹1,000 crore will go toward research and development and product development for domestic and export markets.
The new greenfield facility will be developed along the Yamuna Expressway, close to CNH's existing Greater Noida plant. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has allotted 100 acres of land for the project.
The facility is intended to double CNH's tractor manufacturing capacity in India from 70,000 units to 1.4 lakh units annually. The first phase, adding capacity for 20,000 tractors, is expected to become operational by mid-2028, with full capacity expansion targeted for completion by 2030.
The investment follows an earlier expansion push disclosed by CNH India, under which the company outlined plans to deploy roughly ₹1,800 crore over two to three years across its agricultural and construction equipment segments, including localisation of components at its Pune facility. CNH has also flagged interest in a proposed ₹14,000 crore central incentive scheme for construction equipment manufacturing, as part of a broader strategy to strengthen India as a manufacturing and export hub.
