Aurionpro Solutions wins contract for Chennai Metro Phase 2 automatic fare collection system

Aurionpro Solutions, a leading technology firm, has secured a significant contract for the implementation of an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system for the second phase of the Chennai Metro project. The contract, awarded by the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), involves providing a comprehensive AFC solution for the new metro stations and lines being developed under Phase 2 of the metro expansion.

Phase 2 of the Chennai Metro is expected to improve the city’s urban mobility infrastructure, extending the metro network across new areas to serve a larger population. The addition of an advanced AFC system will help streamline passenger experiences by offering seamless ticketing solutions, including smart card usage, mobile ticketing, and automated fare collection at stations.

Aurionpro Solutions will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of the AFC system, which is intended to improve operational efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance the overall service quality for commuters. The technology will include features like contactless ticketing, real-time tracking of fares, and digital payment options, aimed at providing a smooth and efficient travel experience.
