Arvind Limited Commissions ₹150 Crore Greenfield Garment Manufacturing Plant at Mirzamurad in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
Arvind Limited has inaugurated a new greenfield garment manufacturing facility at Khochwan in Mirzamurad, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the plant on October 25, 2026. The investment is approximately ₹150 crore.
The plant is Arvind’s first manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh and its first major plant in the Purvanchal region. It is built on about seven to eight acres. Reports describe the facility as Phase-1 of the company’s investment in the location.
The facility is expected to employ about 1,000 people, mostly women. More than 300 women have already been recruited and are undergoing training at the site. The plant will make garments for leading apparel brands, and its output includes khadi-based clothing.
The unit adds garment production capacity for Arvind. It also supports the company’s strategy of integrating fabric production with garment manufacturing. The source reports do not state the plant’s installed capacity or any further phases.
