Andhra Pradesh Allots 250 Acres to Dalmia Cement (Bharat) for Expansion of Integrated Clinker and Cement Plant to 9.60 MTPA at Chinnakommerla, YSR Kadapa
The Andhra Pradesh government has approved allotment of 250 acres to Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd (DCBL). The land is for expanding its integrated clinker and cement plant at Chinnakommerla village in Mylavaram mandal, YSR Kadapa district. The post-expansion cement capacity is now 9.60 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
The decision follows the State Investment Promotion Board's recommendation at its 18 September meeting. The land will be allotted under the 'LA for Others' Policy on an actual-cost basis. The government has also amended its March 2025 approval, replacing the earlier post-expansion capacity of 7.23 MTPA with 9.60 MTPA. The project covers the existing integrated plant at Chinnakommerla and Dugganpalli villages.
The revised implementation schedule is:
- Statutory approvals: June-July 2026
- Construction: July 2026 to December 2027
- Machinery erection: November 2026 to November 2027
- Trial production: November-December 2027
- Commercial production: from January 2028
