AMNS India plans Rs 100 crore capital infusion to establish 3 scrap processing centres
Metallurgical Industries - Dec 08,2023 -Gujarat-based company AMNS India intends to invest over Rs 100 crore to build three scrap processing facilities.
According to a company spokesman, the company intends to open two centers in Gujarat, at Hazira and Ahmedabad, and one in Khopoli, Maharashtra.
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) India is a 60:40 joint venture between Nippon Steel of Japan and ArcelorMittal, a worldwide steel giant with its headquarters in Luxembourg.
When asked about the timeline, the official said as per the plan submitted to the board of AMNS India, all the three centres are to be set up by 2024.
The company owns and operates a 9 million tonne (MT) plant at Hazira where it uses 3-5 per cent of scrap to manufacture steel.
