Allcargo to set up Rs 115 crore multimodal logistics park in Haryana

Infrastructure  -  Nov 26,2024  -

Allcargo Terminals will invest Rs 115 crore to develop a multimodal logistics park in Farrukhnagar, Haryana, as part of a larger strategy to strengthen its presence in Northern India.

This project, in partnership with the Haryana Orbital Rail Corporation (HORCL), is part of the Rs 6,000 crore Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) initiative.

Managing Director Suresh Kumar R. stated, "The total investment will be based on the operating model we finalise. We have invested in the HORCL equity and are committed to another Rs 23 crore while balance investments for land access, private freight terminal and inland container depot are in advanced stages of finalisation."

HORCL, spearheading the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor, is developing a 135-km rail line designed to bypass Delhi, connecting industrial and warehousing hubs such as Palwal and Sonipat.

This project aims to divert goods traffic from Delhi, reducing congestion and stimulating economic growth in Haryana.

The Farrukhnagar logistics park, spread across 100 acres, will feature a private freight terminal, inland container depot, and warehouses. Scheduled for completion by December 2027, the park will offer direct links to the Dedicated Freight Corridor and support new industrial zones along Haryana’s western periphery.

The project will link major industrial and warehousing hubs such as Palwal and Sonipat.

The company expects to add about 40-45 percent additional capacity in the coming four to six quarters, signaling phased growth in their operational capabilities.
