Aegis Logistics Commissions 35,000 TPA LPG Bottling Plant at JNPA as Part of ₹1,675 Crore J2 Terminal Project

Petroleum Oct 16,2026

Aegis Logistics has commissioned an LPG bottling plant at Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPA) with an annual capacity of 35,000 tonnes. The plant has been operational since October 15, 2026. The rated capacity is a bottling throughput figure, not a storage capacity.

The plant is part of the J2 Project, a greenfield terminal development at JNPA. Aegis Logistics and Aegis Vopak Terminals Limited (AVTL) signed a framework agreement for the project on November 5, 2025. The agreed scope covers 77,286 tonnes of LPG storage, 318,100 cubic metres of liquid-product storage and the bottling plant.

Under the framework, Aegis Logistics builds the facilities for acquisition by AVTL. Aegis is to receive ₹502.50 crore on execution, with separate asset-transfer agreements to follow project completion. Aegis has said the bottling plant will be transferred to AVTL, with a separate stock-exchange announcement to follow.

The company has described the wider JNPA development as a ₹1,675 crore investment. That figure covers the whole programme, not the bottling plant alone. Aegis reported existing liquid capacity of 101,900 cubic metres at the port. Delivery is phased, so other J2 components are not confirmed as complete.
