ACME Solar Commissions 66.68 MW Solar and 300 MWh BESS in Phase I of Hybrid and FDRE Projects at Kelan, Bikaner, Rajasthan
ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned 66.68 MW of solar capacity and 300 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity at Kelan village in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The capacity has been commissioned through two subsidiaries.
The solar capacity is Phase I of the company's first hybrid renewable project, which is being developed by ACME Renewtech. The project will ultimately combine 300 MW of solar with 100 MW of wind. Power will be sold to NTPC under a power purchase agreement, and Power Finance Corporation is providing long-term financing. The company expects to complete the full 300 MW solar installation by the end of Q3 of FY2026-27.
The BESS capacity is Phase I of a 300 MW/1,581 MWh firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project at the same site. The subsidiary ACME Greentech Seventh has commissioned 53.63 MW/300 MWh of it. The project has a power purchase agreement with SJVN and is financed by REC. Its commercial operation date is September 16, 2026.
