A sugar expansion project is planned in Dhanuka, Sitamarhi, Bihar, increasing sugar production from 1,825,000 MTPA to 3,650,000 MTPA, with molasses- and grain-based ethanol (200,750 KLPA each), compressed biogas (7,300 MTPA), and cogeneration capacity upgraded to 18.25 MW. The Rs. 5,910 million project, submitted on 14th April 2025, received state Investment Promotion Board approval by August 2025.
